Jacy Jenks, CFRE
Founder of The Nonprofit Connection
With over two decades of navigating the ever-evolving landscape of nonprofit fundraising, Jacy is a seasoned professional. She received her BBA and MBA from West Texas A&M University. Jacy received her Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) accreditation in 2011. She also holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
In January of 2022, Jacy started The Nonprofit Connection to be able to assist nonprofits across the country with nonprofit management and fundraising. She's worked with organizations in New York, Los Angeles, and across the Texas Panhandle to create and implement effective fundraising programs. Jacy is a skilled facilitator who has helped organizations develop and implement strategic plans, development plans, and train boards to be strong, efficient, and effective. Jacy's other services include grant writing, donor stewardship, board development and building a fundraising board.
Prior to consulting, Jacy was the Development Director for a nonprofit in Amarillo, Texas. For over 10 years, she was a one-person development department writing grants, planning special events, establishing corporate and individual giving programs and stewarding donors. She also wrote, edited annual reports, website content, annual giving appeal letters, acknowledgements, and stewardship pieces.
In addition to professional work, Jacy is a member of the Texas Plains Chapter of Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). While serving as AFP President, she created new committees and job descriptions, updated bylaws and strategic plans, as well as led board and membership meetings. Jacy is a member of the Alliance of Nonprofit Management and Consultants4Good and facilitates the Development Professionals Circle at the Nonprofit Service Center of Amarillo Area Foundation. She was a member of the Junior League of Amarillo for over 10 years and served in a variety of leadership roles. She was also Charter President of the Amarillo Marketing Association and served on the Amarillo Board of Review for Landmarks and Historic Districts for several years.
